As previously stated, we don't formally certify Demand Forecasting with each release of D365FO.


Instead we architected the product to have few touch-points with D365FO as possible to ensure maximum compatibility with D365FO updates - both current D365FO updates and future D365FO updates. 


This means that, subject to testing prior to installing any D365FO update, customers should assume that new D365FO updates will generally be compatible with recent Demand Forecasting releases. This is subject to conducting normal pre-upgrade testing processes prior to any upgrades.


However we do conduct internal testing of D365FO updates from time to time, typically where the D365FO update is one of the twice yearly "major" updates, or where there have been changes (such as licensing changes) that we think may raise customer queries.


The information on this testing from the last 12 months or so, is tabulated below.  


This list has the most recent D365FO updates listed first (so is in "reverse order"). As in formation about now superseded D365FO  updates (or older Demand Forecasting releases) will be found towards at the bottom of the table, as they are likely least relevant to most customers, in the present day.

For any releases older than R10.0.2.0 (whether a standard release, or customer specific release with custom modifications provided by Farsight present) compatibility is not assured but is likely.  So, compatibility must be assessed and tested by/in each customer environment prior to updating to this D365FO update.
10.0.3910.0.2.0 & 10.0.3.0
No issues seen during testing. 

Customers must install the SHA256 signed Demand Forecasting license file that was issued by Farsight in February 2024, prior to using Demand Forecasting on the 10.0.39 or later D365FO updates.

For any releases older than R10.0.2.0 (whether a standard release, or customer specific release with custom modifications provided by Farsight present), such as older R9.2.X..0 releases, compatibility is not assured but is likely.  So, compatibility must be assessed and tested by/in each customer environment prior to updating to this D365FO update.

As a minimum, the updated SHA256 license file is required to be installed in all cases to use this release.


If you are using one of the older Demand Forecasting releases not listed as having been tested on the D365FO update you are targeting, and you are still unsure after reading the above. Then please seek assistance by raising a support ticket at the earliest opportunity prior to the upgrade, and ensure you provide the current Demand Forecasting release information and the current and planned D365FO update that is being targeted. So we can advise/assist.
